Evolve FS

TEST WIN @BIKE MAGAZIN

Last year in spring Dan Roberts (editor for www.pinkbike.com) didn't seem to believe his sense of riding. He closed his eyes and felt like sitting on an enduro bike. When he opened them again, he saw a bike with a 120 mm fork and a weight of under 10 kg. The title of his article: "The Future of XC Race Bikes?"

Now, almost one year later, the BIKE Magazine wanted to take a closer look at the whole thing and determine the fastest XC bike. Three different concepts, although all were actually developed for the same purpose. 120mm fork, dropper seatpost, 2.4 tires, long wheelbase: Extra pounds? "Pustekuchen!" The Evolve FS not only outperformed the competition downhill, but was also significantly lighter than the competitors and converted every pedal stroke directly into propulsion. An extremely slack head angle, long wheelbase, and long reach - we couldn't recover better on any other bike in the descents and hold the line more confidently. The Evolve FS confidently took the win in this test field, and even Junior World Champion Paul Schehl was impressed by the Evolve FS. In the end, Max Fuchs described the bike as "almost a small sensation."
If you want to read the complete article, the June issue of the BIKE Magazine is available at the newsstand.
